We have the skinny on the story details and concept artwork for Gameloft’s upcoming sequel to N.O.V.A….
N.O.V.A 2 takes place six years after the events played out in Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance. Despite victory, humanity is now thrown into a bloody civil war. It’s fought on one side by a group called the ‘Terran Orbitals’ - a central governing power, who administer over the colonies from orbiting satellites - and the self-appointed Human-Alien Alliance, a new organization with a mysterious origin and agenda that is a combination of Human politicians and an Alien race called the Volterites. The Volterites have both mind control and telekinetic abilities, and seem wel adapted to war, giving some factions a reason to believe they are more than peaceful allies. Meanwhile Kal Wardin (the hero from the first game) has left the N.O.V.A. troops of the Terran Orbitals, and now lives on the desert planet of Scorpius, among the villagers of that colony. Expect then, his peaceful existence to be interrupted once more!

Volterite Psycher
Alien elite unit equipped with an Invisible Suit and sporting telekinetic abilities.
Volterite Shock Trooper
Alien shock trooper armed with a Lightning Gun.
Heavy Demon
Ranged enemy that fires cannon-like plasma balls.
Corrupted Marine
Hostile infected marines can use pistols, assault rifles, shotguns and sniper rifles.
Red Fury Trooper
Humans with jet packs, able to jump through the air for medium distances. They are armed with 2 Plasma Pistols and 2 Flashbang Grenades.
Cybertooth
Armored alien animal used in combat.
